The Betty Pounder Room
The Betty Pounder Room will comfortably accommodate 70 guests for cocktail functions. The room has its own full service bar and is located on the Dress Circle level, only a few metres from the auditorium.
Enjoy the lights of Chinatown outside the windows and learn about Betty Pounder, an icon of Australian musical theatre, from her biography and photos.
The Mike Walsh Suite
The Mike Walsh Suite can be used as a full room for approx. 55 guests or can be split into two smaller rooms, one for up to 35 and the second for approx. 20 guests. The Suite, which overlooks Exhibition Street, is private, being upstairs from the Mezzanine, and features a collection of stunning Erté prints. The Walsh Suite includes its own private washrooms.
The Melba Foyer
During a performance, the Melba Foyer serves the Dress Circle and Grand Circle patrons. However, outside the normal show schedule or at the conclusion of a performance, it can be hired for larger functions of up to 250 guests.
The Melba is a magnificent, theatrical room with 5 mtr ceilings, windows overlooking Exhibition Street and a reproduction of the famous Rupert Bunny portrait of Dame Nellie Melba hanging above the grand staircase.
